Ultan Technologies Tender Win for SEAI 2030 Public Sector Monitoring & Reporting System

We are very pleased to announce that we won the tender for the provision of services for Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland’s (SEAI) Public Sector Monitoring and Reporting System. Ultan Technologies has proudly spent the last ten years collaboratively working with SEAI on public energy usage. Renewing this partnership means a great deal as the Monitoring and Reporting System has been a valuable service to the community:

Since 2009 all public bodies have saved over €1.8 billion on energy spend and avoided 6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.

CEO of SEAI, William Walsh, Former President, stated:

We have seen excellent progress with a collective 34% energy efficiency improvement achieved by the public sector in the last 11 years, exceeding the target set for 2020. Achieving the target set out for 2020 demonstrates real leadership and commitment towards improved energy efficiency by the public sector. Our focus now shifts to the next decade and the challenging targets for 2030. SEAI will be working closely with public bodies to help them achieve the changes necessary so they can rise to the challenge and meet the 2030 targets.
William Walsh

The successful tender we entered provides further validation that the quality of our product, SensorCIS, and our related services (support, additional development, knowledge of energy efficiency tools, etc) continues to meet our client’s requirement.

The system will be used to track progress by public bodies & schools towards their 2030 energy and climate targets as per the Climate Action Plan. There are many differences between the 2020 system and the 2030 system, including a greater emphasis on Carbon Efficiency, Tracking of Buildings, Tracking Travel and more.

Thank you Version 1 for your support and hard work on this tender process. They played no small role in making this SEAI partnership possible. We look forward to a long relationship between our two businesses.

Ultan Technologies has really enjoyed working with the SEAI, its stakeholders and the Public Sector over the past 10 years. We are excited about the prospect of working with Alan Ryan and his team in SEAI to help the Public Sector reach these new targets over the coming 10 years.

We are committed to helping decarbonise our society and are excited to contribute to the sustained leadership, investment and effort in the public sector with SEAI.
