Gapminder desktop – Bubble charts without an internet connection

Posted

The Gapminder tool is a great tool for demonstrating how data changes over time.

The tool is now available in Google’s spreadsheet program and I used it in previous posts in this blog to show how unemployment rates were changing in different areas of the country.

Up to recently you needed an internet connection to be use this tool.

Now, Gapminder has released a desktop version -you can install it on your computer and then display your graphs without having to worry about having any internet connection.

Hans Rosling, the inventer of this tool, has a short video explaining how to use the desktop version. I have embedded it below, but you can also view it here.

You can download Gapminder desktop from this link.
